The University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos (UNO-R) officially signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Grow Forward JP, Incorporated on August 22, 2025, to launch a new cultural exchange program.

The partnership aims to give select UNO-R Senior High School students a chance to experience Japanese culture. The program will begin with online sessions in September, followed by a nine-day on-site immersion trip to Matsuyama, Ehime Prefecture, Japan, from November 4 to 12.

The MOA was signed by UNO-R President Rev. Fr. Joel A. Alve, OAR, and Mr. Kiyota Watanabe, representing Grow Forward JP. Also present at the signing were key officials from both organizations, including Mr. Harry Magluyan, UNO-R Senior High School Principal, and Ms. Joy Borcelas, Senior High School Academic Coordinator.
