Two brothers electrocuted while repairing lights in Binalbagan

Two brothers died yesterday afternoon, June 2, after being electrocuted while repairing electrical lines at Caloy’s Grille on Don Pedro Yulo Street, Barangay San Pedro, Binalbagan town.

The victims were identified as Dexter Grijaldo, 45, and Rollan Grijaldo, 48, both married residents of Barangay Sto. Rosario, Binalbagan.

According to Police Executive Master Sergeant John Batadlan, Chief Investigator of the Binalbagan Municipal Police Station, the brothers were working on the lights of the canopies at the eatery in Binalbagan Proper when Dexter first came into contact with an open live wire on one of the canopies. Seeing his brother being electrocuted, Rollan attempted to help him but was also electrocuted in the process.

Both men were rushed to the infirmary in Binalbagan but were declared dead on arrival.
