Call center operator Transcom is expanding its business in Bacolod City and is set to hire up to 1,500 Customer Service and Technical Support Representatives to support the needs of one of the biggest global media and technology companies in the United States.

In a statement, the company said their hiring requirement will run up to the last quarter of this year.

Transcom, which recently opened its recruitment hub along Lacson Street, said this opportunities are open to non-college graduates. Those without any call center experience are also welcome to apply so long as they are highly motivated to learn, passionate about assisting customers, and have good English conversational skills.

Transcom has been operating in Bacolod City for over a decade and has played a vital role in the expansion and continuous operation of Transcom in the Philippines, its Chief Executive Officer for the Global English Region Mark Lyndsell said.

With the opening of its newest recruitment hub at the former location of Cafe Bobs, Transcom said it will be able to handle 50 additional applicants on a day-to-day basis. But the firm will still maintain its recruitment center in its site in Lopues South.
