Teleperformance (TP) Bacolod joined the celebration of the Bacolaodiat Festival in Bacolod City, welcoming a prosperous Lunar New Year along with the local Filipino-Chinese communities in the region.

TP participated in the three-day event on Lacson Street, offering visitors a taste of the Lunar New Year’s energy and a glimpse into its inclusive workplace culture. TP is the first and only business process outsourcing company in the Philippines certified as a Great Place to Work for seven consecutive years.

Festival-goers enjoyed interactive games like “Spin the Wheel for Fortune” and “Scan a Lucky Ang Pao,” immersing themselves in the rich cultural traditions of the Lunar New Year. Individuals in traditional Chinese attire and cosplayers added to the festive atmosphere.

“TP’s commitment to inclusion and diversity extends beyond festive celebrations. This commitment has earned TP recognition as a Great Place to Work for seven consecutive years in the Philippines, fostering a strong, collaborative, and supportive environment. The company’s fun, inclusive culture is a key differentiator that makes TP an employer of choice for those seeking a dynamic and rewarding career,” shares Jeffrey Johnson, Chief People Officer of TP in the Philippines.

This participation highlights TP’s commitment to inclusion and diversity, and its dedication to creating engaging experiences for both its employees and partner communities where it operates.

Bacolaodiat 2025 ushered in the Year of the Snake, a symbol of wisdom, transformation, and renewal, also associated with good luck, prosperity, fertility, and longevity. The festival’s name combines “Baco” for Bacolod and “Lao Diat,” a Fujian word for celebration, highlighting the strong connection between the city and the local Filipino-Chinese community.
