Just in time for the opening of public school classes, TP, a global leader in digital business services, wrapped up its participation in the Department of Education’s (DepEd) Brigada Eskwela Program 2025 across nine sites throughout the Philippines.

Demonstrating its commitment to community and education, 216 TP Dreambuilder volunteers dedicated their time and effort to support this annual initiative, which aims to prepare public schools for the upcoming academic year.

This year’s Brigada Eskwela, themed “Brigada Eskwela: Sama-sama Para sa Bayang Bumabasa,” emphasizes literacy development, a key priority for DepEd. Through its Corporate Social Responsibility arm, Citizen of the World (COTW), TP Philippines has consistently supported Brigada Eskwela, reflecting its ongoing dedication to improving school facilities and fostering a culture of volunteerism.

TP Dreambuilder volunteers rolled up their sleeves at various adopted schools nationwide, collectively contributing 1,080 volunteer hours to clean-up, repainting, minor repairs, and maintenance work in classrooms and on school grounds.

Vice President of Operations for TP in the Philippines, Marick Miraflor, who has led Brigada Eskwela volunteers since 2013, highlighted the rewarding experience: “While the project looks like work, it’s actually very fun and rewarding—it’s fun because you get to do it with our leaders and team members… It’s great for an organization to create opportunities such as this where our employees can give back to our communities.”

Jeffrey Johnson, TP in the Philippines Chief People Officer and COTW President, added, “This volunteer work, which is part of TP’s sustained support for education, connects directly to our values. Under the COTW program, TP has consistently engaged in projects and initiatives that support child rights in the Philippines. We do this as part of our commitment to nurturing young minds and defending every child’s right to learn and dream.”

Among the nine participating schools were Brookspoint Elementary School (Baguio City), Leoncia Village Integrated School (Angeles City), Bambang Elementary School (Pasig City), Molino Elementary School (Bacoor City), Sum-Ag Elementary School (Bacolod City), Iba Elementary School (Talisay City), Pagalungan National High School (Cagayan de Oro City), Bunawan Aplaya Elementary School (Davao City), and Jose Divinagracia, Sr. Elementary School (General Santos City).
