A tornado touched down in Brgy. Minapasok, Calatrava yesterday afternoon, uprooting trees and damaging 22 houses. Of which, 5 were totally destroyed.
In a report from the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction & Management Office (DRRMO), it said that the weather phenomenon lasted for about 15 minutes which caused road closure for several hours.
A structure of the village day care center was also damaged when the tornado ripped through. But no casualties were reported.
Currently, those who lost their homes sought temporary shelter with their relatives.
