A 29-year-old Teleperformance agent, Bret Requieron, is now out of danger after being viciously attacked and stabbed multiple times at the Luxur Place parking area in Bacolod City on May 13.
The incident, which occurred just a stone throw away from the Bacolod City Police Headquarters, has raised concerns about security in the area. Police blotter report indicated that Requieron was attacked by three individuals.
According to Police Captain Greeky Cayao, head of Police Station 8, Requieron sustained stab wounds on his face and multiple injuries to his abdomen from a sharp weapon.
Police have identified one of the suspects as Ajay Austria, a former coworker of Requieron and a resident of Deca Homes, Barangay Cabug, Bacolod City.
Authorities are currently conducting a manhunt for Austria, who was not found at his residence when a hot pursuit operation was launched.
The authorities are looking at jealousy as a primary motive for the attack.
