Talisay City Mayor Neil Lizares confirmed over the weekend that he tested positive for COVID-19, along with 7 members in his house.
Lizares in a statement posted on his Facebook page said that he is currently experiencing mild symptoms. But what breaks his heart according to him is members of his family and household also tested positive of the virus.
Of the seven positive, Lizares said 3 of whom are his children and 4 househelpers.
The mayor asked Talisaynons for their prayers for their family’s speedy recovery.
Last month, Lizares also tested positive for COVID-19.
