Spike, an Aspin, that was beaten with a piece of wood by a member of the Sanggunian Kabataan in Brgy. 35 passed away today, BACH Project PH confirmed on Facebook.
Spike was being treated in a private veterinary clinic after he suffered deep trauma and was comatose for 5 days.
According to BACH Project PH, the aspin was beaten and suffered brain injury and blindness.
But in his defense the SK Kagawad said, Spike was unintentionally beaten after his dog a Belgian malinois had a fight with the aspin.
The SK member stressed that his intention was only to stop them from fighting adding that his dog also suffered an injury when he took a wood to separate the 2.
But the owner of Spike found the action inhuman and is determined to file appropriate charges against the SK member.
The fur-community turned to Facebook to send their sympathy and comfort to Spike’s fur-parents.
