The Local Disaster and Risk Reduction Management Office (LDRRMO) of Sipalay City has advised residents to be prepared for possible evacuation as the Sipalay River continues to overflow due to heavy rainfall.

As of 12 noon today, September 17, a photo posted on the Sipalay DRRMO’s Facebook page showed that the river’s water level has risen significantly, posing a threat to nearby communities.

The local DRRMO is closely monitoring the situation and urging residents to be vigilant and ready to relocate to safer areas if necessary.

The heavy rainfall is expected to persist in the coming days, and the situation may worsen if the water levels rise further.
