Starting November 6, non-residents of Sipalay may once again enter the city for leisure purposes.

This after Mayor Gina Lizares signed an Executive Order lifting the suspension of non-essential travels.

The mayor, however emphasized that beaches and resorts in the city will only open their accommodation to tourists who will comply with the requirements set by the city government. This would include the proper filling out of a health declaration form and tourist registration form.

The Mayor arrived with the decision to re-open the city’s tourist destinations following a significant drop in the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the city.

As for the diving schools, the EO said that they will also be allowed to accept enrollees who tested negative in their RT-PCR test. The test will only be valid within five days from the date of swabbing.
