The Sipalay City Health Office (CHO) in partnership with the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) is intensifying its Measles-Rubella and Oral Polio Vaccine Supplemental Immunization Activity in the city.

The activity, which is being conducted by the DOH in partnership with local government units (LGUs), aims to protect children aged 5 years old and below from measles, rubella, and polio.

To intensify the campaign, the CHO and BFP conducted a recorida/bandillo activity in the city. The activity, which involved marching through the streets and playing music, was aimed at raising awareness about the importance of immunization and encouraging parents to bring their children to get vaccinated.

The CHO also partnered with Radyo Natin Sipalay to disseminate information about the MR OPV SIA. Radio is a powerful tool that can reach a wide audience, and the health office is grateful for the support of Radyo Natin Sipalay in this important campaign.

The MR OPV SIA is a critical public health intervention that can help to protect children from these deadly diseases. The vaccination drive is now on its third week in Western Visayas.

The DOH and its partners are urging all parents to bring their children to get vaccinated as soon as possible.
