After a two-year hiatus, Visayas Unity Ride is set to roar off on Saturday, October 15, at the Upper East, Megaworld, Bacolod City, with no less than Senator JV Ejercito gracing the event.
“See you in Bacolod for MASSKARA VISAYAS UNITY RIDE this weekend,” the senator said in his official Facebook page. He will be joined by Philippine Motorcycle Tourism Ambassador Jet Lee.
Now on its 61st year, the event will be the first major organized ride to be participated by motorcycle enthusiasts from around the country after it was halted due to COVID-19.
The Bacolod-based Thunderbugs Bacolod Motorcycle Club is the host of the Saturday event. The Bacolod-based organization was founded in 1964 and is currently headed by their club president Mike Trebol.
Lito Aves, Thunderbugs, past president and event organizing committee chairman, said almost 1,000 motorcycle riders from all over the country have already pre-registered for the event.
They hope that through this gathering of riders from all over the country they will be able to boost the local tourism and help invigorate the local economy.
