The identity of the mother of the deceased infant, found in a casserole dish, remains unknown and she is now considered as person of interest.
Police Precinct 9 commanding officer Capt. Andy Ofalia tagged the mother as person of interest after she has not come out and seek assistance nor file a police report.
The newborn baby with his placenta and umbilical cord still attached to his body, indicating a recent delivery, was dumped near a material recovery facility (MRF) in Barangay Punta Taytay on Tuesday afternoon, July 22.
The baby boy was discovered by a worker from IPM Construction and Development Corporation, the city’s garbage collection contractor.
