San Carlos transforming contact tracing app to cater to more services

With always a heart for the good of its citizens, the local government unit of San Carlos is expanding the services of its existing contact tracing application, VAMOS, to address the needs of its citizenry at this time of pandemic.

The Information Technology & Computer Services Office (ITCSO) said in a statement that the VAMOS Mobile, which started as a digital platform for COVID-19 surveillance activities used initially for contact tracing, is now moving forward and will be upgraded to VAMOS CARES (Community App for Reliable e-Services). This will allow the application to host to more than just contact tracing, making it integral to the life of its citizens and the government.

The mobile app will be upgraded in phases with an inclusion of social and service features such as news and announcements, emergency response, law enforcement, medical information, utility bills and payments, business permits and taxes, e-tickets, document tracking, events and reservations, tourism and marketing and many more exciting features.

Once the upgrade is completed, the official community mobile application of San Carlos City,will be jampacked with social and service features allowing the residents enhanced access to government services. The app will surely enable citizens to engage in the local community anytime, anywhere and from any device, the ITCSO added.

The app will also have a newsfeed feature that will provide announcements from different agencies or departments every time users open the app. The news feed displays information will also include schedules of vaccination, upcoming events, special announcements and among other updates. It will also house vaccine information which allows users to display verified digital proof of their Covid-19 vaccination.
