The city government of San Carlos gave City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) a brand-new Mitsubishi Triton worth P1.5M, funded through the local government’s 2024 capital outlay.

San Carlos City Mayor Renato Y. Gustilo and Vice Mayor Christopher Paul S. Carmona officially turned over the vehicle to said office today, April 14, at the City Hall entrance.
CSWDO representatives, Social Welfare Aides Doreen Mahinay and Marval Montaño and Social Welfare Assistant Noel Suico received the vehicle.

Suico said the vehicle will significantly enhance the office’s capacity to deliver essential services across the city, especially amid the continued devolution of national programs to the local level.

He also thanked Mayor Gustilo for the sustained support of the CSWDO, emphasizing the need for additional vehicles as the office has only one fully operational unit, a KIA K2700 vehicle which is also deteriorating.

The office remains hopeful of further logistical support to address its regular transportation needs.
