The city of San Carlos has dismantled its checkpoints and border control situated in Buluangan, Punao (Talave), and Prosperidad last October 31.
In an official advisory the city said that it has removed and demobilized its check-up points as it shift its focus and re-align its efforts in curbing the local transmission of COVID-19 “from within”.
This development was prompted after the local Incident Management Team conducted a re-assessment on the ongoing efforts of the city against the pandemic.
It was clarified that relaxing its borders does not necessarily mean letting their guards down against the unseen enemy, rather it is a shift of action towards “combating the war inwardly”.
However, the public and all residents including private establishments are mandated to enhance their health and safety protocols such as the mandatory temperature check, hand sanitation and wearing of facemask and faceshield.
