San Carlos City Hall, health dep’t lockdown

As the number of positive cases continues to rise tremendously due to community transmisson of COVID-19, Mayor Rene Gustilo declared a preventive lockdown in some of the city’s major government institutions namely the City Hall and the City Health Office, yesterday, October 16.

As posted on their COVID-19 FB update, the city said members of the City COVID-19 Incident Management Team shall undergo the swab test or Reverse – Transcript Polymerase Chain Reaction Test (RT PCR) following their exposure to one of the newly confirmed patients.

Out of 17 confirmed cases released as of 12noon, yesterday, 7 are government employees while the rest are close contacts to other patients.

All government offices under preventive lockdown will be decontaminated by the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office while affected employees are being isolated awaiting the confirmatory test result.
