The Regional Inter-Agency Task Force against COVID-19 supports the appeal of Bacolod City to de-escalate its quarantine status by December 1st.
The request of Bacolod to return to less restrictive community quarantine status was endorsed by the regional body through its Resolution No. 82 dated November 27 and was concurred by Office of Civil Defense-6 Director Jose Roberto Nuñez, chair of the RTF, and Interior and Local Government-6 OIC-Director Juan Jovian Ingeniero, chair of the RIATF.
Mayor Evelio Leonardia had earlier made an appeal to Health Secretary Francisco Duque to place Bacolod under Modified General Community Quarantine starting tomorrow.
In his appeal he said: “We have met all the criteria for de-escalation with the further decline of COVID-19 cases in Bacolod during the last two weeks.” the mayor told Duque.
