The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOCPPO) apprehended a total of 164 suspects facing arrest during its 24-Hour Simultaneous Focus Police Operations on implementation of warrant of arrest for the wanted persons on August 30, 2022.
The operation was conducted by all units of the Philippine National Police as part of the peace and security framework of Police Gen. Rodolfo Azurin Jr. Chief PNP, the Malasakit, Kaayusan, Kapayapaan Tungo sa Kaunlaran or simply put M+K+K=K. Of the arrested suspects, 8 of them were Most Wanted Persons who belong to the Top 10 while 156 were Other Wanted Persons.
P.Col. Leo Pamattan, acting provincial police director said the 31 cities and municipal police stations, 2 provincial mobile force companies and the Provincial Intelligence Unit of NOCPPO were mobilized for the 1-day operation.
The Victorias Component City Police Station (CCPS) led the accomplishment with 24 suspects arrested followed by Bago CCPS with 16 suspects and the Escalante CCPS with 11 suspects.
NOCPPO’s contribution to the accomplishment of Police Regional Office 6 on the said activity is significant with almost 70% of the total number of arrested wanted persons which recorded 232 wanted persons arrested in the whole of PRO 6.
