Printable version of nat’l ID to start in October

A printable version of the national identification card will soon be available in Negros Occidental as the Philippine Statistics Authority’s (PSA) is officially rolling out its digital Philippine Identification (PhilID) card this October.

In an advisory, the Bago City Public Information Office said that PSA is slated to rollout the printable version of national ID in their city to accommodate Bagonhons who are waiting for their physical card.

The printed version will serve as a temporary identification for owners who have not yet receive a copy of their ID.

According to the city, PSA will accommodate Bagonhons during their initial rollout with the following eligibility criteria:

  • Registered to PhilSys
  • Kept a copy of their transaction slip or the transaction number found in the transaction slip issued during their Step 2 Registration
  • With available printable PhilID upon checking the verification portal at the PSA Online Appointment

The venue and actual dates will be announced soon, the statement added.

In a previous statement, PSA said that beneficiaries of social protection program are the priority for the printable version of the digital PhilID to give them immediate and improved access to more financial and social services.
