The Negros Occidental Provincial Police Office will soon have a transient quarters for police officers assigned in Negros Occidental. This after Philippine National Police Chief, General Debold Sinas led the ground breaking ceremony of the P10-million NOCPPO Transient Quarters located within the provincial police headquarters.
Joining the PNP chief in the event was Gov. Eugenio Lacson of Negros Occidental who said that the PNP chief’s presence will definitely inspire and boost the confidence and morale of the troops in Negros Occidental, given the difficulty and complexity of their present tasks.
The governor also said that the construction of the NOCPPO Transient Quarter is a sound and practical way of supporting the needs and enhancing the capacities of the police officers in these difficult times.
Gov. Lacson thanked General Sinas for his visit to the province, and urged everyone to continue to rally behind the PNP. The visit was Sinas’ first official command visit in NOCPPO.
NOCPPO Director Colonel Romy Palgue, together with other police officers and staff, Negros Occ. Board Member Agustin Ernesto Bascon and other guests joined the governor in welcoming the PNP Chief.
Sinas also visited the Bishop’s House in Bacolod where he got a chance to meet with the bishops in Negros Occidental. The event however, was closed for media coverage.
