In celebration of the National Oral Health Month, the Provincial Health Office of Negros Occidental provided a free dental services to communities in need in Sipalay City.
The free dental services offered include examination, extraction and other preventive treatments. The goal of these services is to help people who may not have access to regular dental care to get the treatment they need to maintain good oral health.
The activity was spearheaded by Dr. Teofil Vidamo of PHO and Dr. Gilda Alvarez of Sipalay City Health Office and her team.
In addition to the free dental services, the health department also provided dental kits, educational materials and resources to help people learn more about oral health and how to maintain good oral hygiene.
The National Oral Health Month is observed every February in the Philippines, with the goal of raising awareness about the importance of oral health and encouraging people to take steps to maintain their oral health.
