Filipinos can now experience a more convenient way to manage their PhilHealth benefits as the agency officially launched its Digital Transformation Systems yesterday, July 9.

The initiative, spearheaded by PhilHealth and the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), integrates PhilHealth services into the existing eGovPH app.

This comes after the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the two agencies in 2023. The ceremonial launching at the PhilHealth Head Office was graced by DICT Secretary Ivan John Uy, Undersecretary David Almirol Jr., PhilHealth President and CEO Emmanuel Ledesma Jr., and Executive Vice President and COO Eli Dino Santos.

Secretary Uy underscored the importance of this integration, calling it a “pivotal step towards a more advanced and connected nation.” PhilHealth members can now enjoy a wider range of services through the eGovPH app, including:

  • Accessing PhilHealth profiles
  • Viewing contribution history
  • Managing beneficiaries
  • Checking claims history
  • Registering with Konsulta package providers
  • Applying for new memberships

DICT, under Secretary Uy’s leadership, reiterated its commitment to leveraging technology and fostering inter-agency collaboration to streamline public service delivery. This enhanced system empowers Filipinos to conveniently manage their PhilHealth benefits and access healthcare services through the eGovPH app.

The eGovPH app, designed with a Single-Sign-On system and linked to the national digital ID, aims to provide Filipinos with a secure and efficient platform to access various government services. This initiative aligns with the Ease of Doing Business Act and President Ferdinand “Bong Bong” Marcos Jr.’s directive to expedite digitalization efforts for better public service.
