As of 4PM today, October 14, 2020, the Department of Health reports the total number of COVID-19 cases at 346,536, after 1,910 newly-confirmed cases were added to the list of COVID-19 patients.
DOH likewise announces 579 recoveries. This brings the total number of recoveries to 293,860.
Note: Of the 1,910 reported cases today, 1,639 (86%) occurred within the recent 14 days (October 1 -October 14, 2020). The top regions with cases in the recent two weeks were NCR (564 or 34%), Region 4A (398 or 24%) and Region 6 (128 or 8%).
Of the 78 deaths, 64 occurred in October (82%), 10 in September (13%) 1 in August (1%) 1 in July (1%) and 2 in June (3%). Deaths were from NCR (35 or 45%), Region 4A (12 or 15%), Region 3 (7 or 9%), Region 10 (6 or 8%), Region 6 (5 or 6%), Region 1 (3 or 4%), Region 11 (3 or 4%), BARMM (2 or 3%), Region 5 (1 or 1%), Region 7 (1 or 1%), Region 8 (1 or 1%), Region 9 (1 or 1%), and Region 12 (1 or 1%).
87 duplicates were removed from the total case count. Of these, 85 recovered cases and a death have been removed.
Moreover, 17 cases previously tagged as recovered were reclassified as deaths.
11 labs were not able to submit their data to the COVID-19 Data Repository System (CDRS) on October 13, 2020.
These numbers undergo constant cleaning and validation.
