Get ready for more news and public affairs programming in Bacolod City as the country’s broadcast pioneer, Manila Broadcasting Company (MBC), is set to launch its popular DZRH TV on digital channel on February 6.

This expansion marks MBC’s commitment to providing wider access to its flagship radio station’s content through the power of digital television.

DZRH TV, known for its hard-hitting news broadcasts and insightful public affairs discussions, already enjoys a strong following across the Philippines, and is now on a test broadcast in Bacolod, Cebu and Iloilo.

Bacolod viewers can tune in to channel 39 on their digital boxes to experience the station’s dynamic blend of news, current events, and commentary brought to life on television.

The National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) is calling on Filipinos to prepare for the inevitable switch to digital television by acquiring digital-ready TVs or set-top boxes.

In a press conference on Monday, NTC Commissioner Alvin Blanco highlighted the advantages of digital TV, including crystal-clear picture quality, reliable early warning broadcasts for emergencies, and a wider variety of channels.

Blanco emphasized that the difference between digital and analog TV is huge, explaining that the digital TV offers sharp, crisp images and superior sound, along with important emergency alerts that can keep you safe during disasters.

Blanco said that several TV networks are providing affordable digital set-top boxes compatible with most existing televisions.

With the analog switch-off date drawing closer, Filipinos are encouraged to choose digital and experience the clearer, safer, and more enriching world of television broadcasting.
