PDEA nabs 3 San Carlos residents in P2.72B drug busts

Three residents from San Carlos City, Negros Occidental were among those nabbed by Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in 2 separate drug busts in Pangasinan, La Union that yielded over P2.7 billion worth of illegal drugs, Friday, August 12.

Nabbed were  Rey Yago, 29, and  Ritchell Repuesto. 28,  of San Carlos City, Negros Occidental. The two were apprehended at Turquoise Street, Sunshine Village, Pozorrubio, Pangasinan together with their Chinese companionidentified as Ke “James Dagale Galopo” Wujia, 49, of San Vicente Sur, Agoo, La Union, and  22-year-old Johnbert Yagong of San Agustin Norte, Agoo, La Union.

Police recovered at least 360 kilograms of suspected shabu worth P2.448 billion which were packed in Chinese tea bags.

In a follow-up operation at Ilang-ilang Street, Brgy. Poro, San Fernando, La Union, PDEA arrested 18-year-old John Paul Repuesto of San Carlos City. He was with and  Romel Leyes, 38,  of Bagong Silangan, Quezon City.

Police recovered 40 kilograms of suspected shabu worth P272 million.

The suspect will face charges for sale and possession of illegal drugs.
