Children aged 5-11 years old were welcomed by a children’s party-themed vaccination site at Ayala Malls Capitol Central to kick off the city’s vaccination drive against COVID-19 for kids.

The Bacolod City EOC, in partnership with the City Health Office, has chosen Capitol Central as their first mall launch for the pediatric vaccinations, February 21, at the 3rdFloor near Metro Department Store.

To help put the children at ease while getting their shots, the mall has set up a fun children’s party-themed vaccination area, with free treats from Dunkin’ Donuts and toys from Jollibee. Kids may also take a picture at the designated photobooths with their favorite movie characters such as Elsa and Anna from Frozen.

“This is another milestone in the history of vaccination programs for Bacolod City,” stated Dr. Chris Sorongon, Medical Deputy Chief of EOC-TF.

“We would like to thank Ayala Malls for their active and continuous collaboration with the City Government of Bacolod. For the past two years of partnership, they have provided us venues, and all the support that we need in our Resbakuna program in the city,” he added.

In a statement, Sharon Ciocon, Ayala Malls Capitol Central General Manager said: “The initiative fast tracks the immunity of the pediatric population. Through the city government’s efforts, we are confident that our children’s safety is a priority.”

Ayala Malls Capitol Central shall accommodate a maximum of 100 children from 10 am to 1 pm for today only. Future schedules have yet to be announced, subject to the vaccines’ availability
