The Office of Vice President Sara Duterte (OVP) is warning the public about activities involving the illegal collection of money, made on behalf of the OVP, by unscrupulous individuals or groups.

In a July 19 advisory, the OVP said that it has received a report about an individual from Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental, who has been asking for P50 from each person who wants to avail of monetary aid from the vice president.

The OVP said this is a “scam” and that no one has been authorized to collect money on their behalf. They urged the public to report any such activities to the police or other local authorities.

The OVP stressed that their programs and services can be accessed only through their official platforms, including their Facebook pages, website, and satellite offices.

The public may also walk-in at their satellite office at Mosser Building at Goldenfield Commercial Complex in Bacolod City.
