Consumers of Northern Negros Electric Cooperative (NoNeCo) are set to face a new round of increase to its electricity charges for the month of April, bringing the cost per kilowatt to P13.7077.

According to NONECO, the increase in residential rate is due to the increase in electricity prices in the market. It also attributed the increase in the hike of fuel charges impose by KEPCO SPC Power Corp and Palm Concepcion Power Corp.

Of the P13.7077 rate, P10.1668 goes to generation, transmission and system loss charges.

NONECO only charges P1.6109 for the distribution supply and metering.
