The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines said it has restored some transmission lines that were affected by Typhoon Odette in Negros Occidental.

According to NGCP, the Bacolod-San Enrique 69kV Line servicing Central Negros Electric Cooperative and Negros Occidental Electric Cooperative has been restored as of 5PM of December 17.

But majority of the areas in southern Negros under NOCECO remain powerless for four days now due to toppled poles. In an advisory, NOCECO said they are gradually pulling-off and restoring 31 toppled poles of 69 KV Transmission Line in Brgy. Buenavista, Himamaylan City serving Himamaylan, Binalbagan, Hinigaran, Isabela, Moises Padilla, La Castellana & La Carlota City.

NOCECO Warriors of Light are working day and night to hasten the restoration of power in its area coverage, the electric cooperative added.
