The Central Negros Electric Cooperative (CENECO) is advising residents of Talisay & Silay cities and the town of Murcia to prepare for scheduled power interruptions on July 13 & 14.
These outages will allow the CENECO team to conduct vital maintenance activities to ensure the stability of distribution lines and prevent future problems that could lead to more extensive power cuts. It will include preventive maintenance and integrity testing of substations, addressing electrical hotspots, maintaining feeder metering systems, replacing damaged power poles, and clearing overgrown trees that pose a risk to power lines.
To minimize disruption, CENECO has divided the maintenance work into two time slots.
On July , from 6:00 AM to 12:00 PM, residents in Talisay City serviced by Feeders 1, 2, and 3 will experience outages.
This includes areas on the north side from the Talisay substation to the highway along Magsaysay Street, as well as zones 1, 2, 3, 4, 4A, 5, 12, 12A, 16, and portions of zones 6 and 10. Additionally, Brgy. Bubog, Talisay Public Market, SM Savemor, CHMSC, EELMS, TES, TESDA, TUP, RBLMHS, TACIWA Office, New Talisay City Hall, Kooll Company, BuenRetiro Subd., Melo Village 4, Menlo Garden, Tali Homes, Carmela Valley Subd., Carmela Valey Executive, Pueblo San Antonio, St. Paul Village, Pacific Shores Subd. will be affected.
In the afternoon, CENECO said the power will be interrupted in Silay City areas from 12NN to 6:00PM. This will cover Lopez Feeders 1, 2, and 3. This includes Caneland (AIDSISA), Mansiguinon, Brgy. Kapitan Ramon, Brgy. Patag, E. Lopez, Hda. Pula, Hda. Napilas (zones 1, 2, 6 & 7), Sitio Hiyang2x, Tayap Proper, Macamig (zones 1-3), Hda. Caridad, Hda. Napilas (zones 1-3), Hda. San Gregorio, Hda. Marigasa (zones 1-3), and Hda. Paz. In Silay City itself, the outage will affect areas including the Provincial Hospital, Olaybar St., Villa Hermosa, Hda. Matagoy, Burgos St., Bonifacio St., Antonio Luna, Rizal, Loney St., Boulevard St., Sitio Barra, Ipil-Ipil St., and portions of Gomez St. leading to the market, and Antilla Subd. Zone 1.
On July 14, from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, CENECO said power will be cut off in Murcia town area to allow for the maintenance of the 30MVA Murcia Substation and in surrounding areas.
Residents in Murcia serviced by Feeders 1 & 2 (MUF 1 & 2) will be affected. This includes Prk. Manayaosayao, Canlaon View Subd., Tanduay, Proper Blumintritt, portions of JAYME Subd. on R. Panisa St. and Calalang St., portions of Mansilingan Subd., Cosmos Bottling, Oasis Subd., Lolita Heights, Villa Magdalene, April Joseph, Villa Florencia, Had. Gonzaga, Felisa Subd., Prk. Guanzon, Paglaum Village, Hermilinda, Leon Ville, Kabugwason, Lion Ville, East Homes 4, 5, 6 & 6B, and Villa Maria Reyna 1 for Feeder 1.
Feeder 2 areas include Marian missionaries, Hda. Josefa II, Hda. Olive 2, Had.Jovelanos, Binitin, Candongon, Cansilayan, the entire municipalities of Murcia and Don Salvador Benedicto, Brgy. Lopez Jaena to Mambucal, Had. Mala, Co Salazar, (R14): Brgy. Alegria, Brgy. Sta. Cruz, CPAC (Central Philippine Adventist College), Country Homes, Firmville, Iglau-an, Talotog, Buenavista, Salvacion, Caliban, Had Lopues Dulao, Brgy. Atipuluhan, Brgy. Abuanan, Sayson Piggery, GC&C Crusher, Prk. Sambag, Prk. Cadena de Amor, Prk. Rose 1 & 2, Prk. Maasin & Prk. Sta. Rita, Prk. Theodora Brgy. Damsite, Prk. Tumpok & Prk. Overflow, Bluementritt.
