No pink caravan in Bacolod on November 5

The Laban Leni Negros Occidental is not mounting a caravan within Bacolod City during the visit of presidential candidate Vice President Leni Robredo on Friday, November 5.

This is as the Inter-Agency Task Force against COVID-19 placed Bacolod City under Alert Level 4 until November 14. With the current alert status against the deadly coronavirus, motorcade like the ones being organized by Laban Leni is prohibited.

But the group is mounting an out-of-town caravan to welcome Robredo. Over 800 vehicles are expected to parade from EB Magalona to Silay Airport where the vice president is expected to land.

Organizers said participants of the caravan has to be on their designated bay by 7:00AM of Friday and all participants have to wear masks properly st all times.

Dubbed as “highway welcome”, the stationary caravan will stop in Talisay City as Robredo head to Bacololod City to meet with Bishop Patricio Buzon, Mayor Evelio Leonardia and Negros Occidental Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson.

In time for the VP’s visit is the celebration of the 123rd Cinco de Noviembre.
