No lockdown in Binalbagan

There is no lockdown in the municipality of Binalbagan. This was clarified by the local government amid report that the town was placed under lockdown, but the local government reminds its residents to remain at home and only go out for essential transactions due to the rising COVID cases in town.

In his Executive Order no. 19, signed last April 6, Mayor Alejandro Mirasol has ordered the closure of billiard halls and karaoke bars at the same time banned card games, mahjong and all forms of gambling.

He also ordered the closure of all basketball courts and all forms of contact sports are temporarily prohibited.

The mayor also ordered that only immediate family members are allowed to attend wake services within the town.

He added that selling of ukay-ukay (used garments) is suspended for 2 weeks.

As of yesterday, Binalbagan reported 12 active cases, and another 67 persons under monitoring.
