NGCP to implement manual load dropping in Bacolod, some parts of NegOcc tonight

The Central Negros Electric Cooperative (CENECO) has issued and an advisory for potential Manual Load Dropping (MLD) tonight, January 18, in response to power shortage instructions from the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP).

CENECO said NGCP may implement a MLD for its of 4.5MW and will affect electric consumers under Mt. View Feeder 4 starting at 6PM.

By 7PM, manual load dropping will be implemented in Murcia Feeder 2 (MuF2) and Talisay Feeder 3 (TF3) to avoid line and equipment overload as per advice by NGCP.

CENECO has not yet provided details on the duration of the temporary power interruption.

The Northern Negros Electric Cooperative, Inc. also confirmed on a Facebook post that some portions of their coverage area will be affected by the manual load dropping as advised by NGCP.
