New RoRo route redefines travel between Negros and Panay

F.F. Cruz Shipping has formally inaugurated its RoRo port in Brgy. Manta-Angan, E.B. Magalona town to serve as its terminal for its first inter-island RoRo operation between the provinces of Negros Occidental and Panay.

Located some 28 kilometers north of Bacolod City, the new route that will be serviced exclusively by F.F. Cruz Shipping will provide a cheaper and faster route to address the growing cargo and passenger traffic coming from and going to the northern areas of Panay and Negros.

According to the company, the new route will reduced travel time between the 2 islands to only 1 hour and 20 minutes as compared to the present travel time of 2hours and 20minutes between Dumangas Port and Bacolod City. It will also help address the growing congestion at the domestic ports in Iloilo City and Dumangas, it added.

The Roro vessel will dock at Bay-Ang Port in Ajuy, Iloilo which will further make travel to key tourist destinations in Panay more accessible. This will include tourist places such as Isla Gigantes, Sicogon, and Boracay via Dacuton-Dumarao Road, up to Roxas, Capiz to Caticlan, Malay, Aklan.

Initially, F.F. Cruz will operate a 10AM from EB Magalona and will depart from Bay-Ang at 3PM. Rates for passengers and vehicles will soon be published by the operator through its official FB Page.
