Key cities in Negros Occidental have started to adopt the unified travel protocol issued by the national Inter-Agency Task Force against COVID-19.
The cities of Bago, Cadiz and Kabankalan confirmed that it will no longer subject individuals arriving in their localities from outside of Region 6 to secure medical certificate and travel authority from the Philippine National Police.
In separate announcements, the towns of Binalbagan and EB Magalona also confirmed that it adopted the revised travel guidelines as well.
For travellers within Region 6 the said townd and cities only required travelers to prepare the following documents and undergo the following procedures:
- Prepare ID or certificate of residency
- Register travel online (S-PASS.ph and StaySafe.ph) attaching ID or certificate of residency.
- Upon arrival at the ports, all individuals may avail of the free RT-PCR Test upon arrival and/or Voluntary Facility Quarantine. A Strict Home Quarantine straight from the ports of entry for a period of 7 days will be enforced and will be monitored by the Barangay Health Emergency Response Team (BHERTs).
For those coming from outside Region 6:
- All individuals need to prepare the following documents and undergo the following protocol:
a) Prepare ID or certificate of residency
b) Register travel online (S-PASS.ph and StaySafe.ph) attaching ID or certificate of residency and a negative RT-PCR result valid within 72 hours from date of swab until date of travel. All submitted documents will be reviewed by the LGU for confirmation and approval of travel coordination permit - Upon arrival at the ports, all individuals may avail of the following:
a) Free Swab Testing on the 5th – 7th day repeat swab and/or
b) Voluntary Facility Quarantine:
To observe Strict Home Quarantine straight from the ports of entry for a period of 7 days to be monitored by the Barangay Health Emergency Response Team (BHERTs).
All submitted documents will be reviewed by the local government for confirmation and approval of travel coordination permit.
