Negros Power announces 12-hour outage on August 3

Negros Power has announced a scheduled power interruption on Sunday, August 3, as part of its ongoing five-year rehabilitation and modernization plan.

The outage is necessary to replace aging infrastructure and ensure a more reliable and safer electrical distribution system for consumers.The main outage will last for 12 hours, from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, affecting several key areas in Brgy. Villamonte and other parts of Bacolod City.

Affected areas from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM include portions of BF2 along Hilado St., including Molave St., Yakal St., Mahogany St., FY Manalo St., portions of 6th and 7th Street, and more.

Areas with a shorter interruption from 6:00 AM to 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM include Glenwood, Camp A. Montelibano, Akina East, Villa San Agustine, and various barangays. This also includes several key institutions such as Riverside Medical Center, Riverside College Inc., and West Negros University.

A third, shorter outage from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM will affect a portion of MF3, specifically a section of 6th St. to 7th St.
