A recipient of the Negros Occidental Provincial Medical and Nursing Scholarship – Medicine (NOPMANS) program, Vicente Vi G. Bitolinamisa, has achieved the highest academic honor, graduating as class valedictorian at the University of St. La Salle – Bacolod College of Medicine.
NOPMANS, a key initiative under the Negros Occidental Scholarship Program Division of the Provincial Government, supported Bitolinamisa’s journey.
Hailing from the Municipality of Murcia, Bitolinamisa in his powerful valedictory address offered a profound message to his fellow graduates he reminded them that “the world doesn’t simply need more doctors with perfect grades or spotless resumes.” Instead, he emphasized the crucial need for doctors who truly care, who listen intently, and who act with compassion.
He challenged them to be doctors who will “stand in the gaps where the system fails” and to never forget that behind every chart is a human life.
The joint graduation ceremony for the College of Medicine and the Graduate School took place yesterday at USLS Bacolod.
