NegOcc police top performer in Western Visayas

The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOCPPO) received the highest overall score in the latest Unit Performance Evaluation Rating (UPER) for June 2024, besting seven other police units Region 6

The evaluation, conducted on June 30, 2024, assessed different aspects of administrative and operational police functions. NOCPPO secured an impressive overall score of 97.94%, solidifying their position as the top performer in the region.

“This achievement is a testament to the unwavering dedication and hard work of our NOCPPO personnel,” said PCol Rainerio De Chavez, NOCPPO Director. He commended his team and vowed for continued excellence in serving the Negrense community.

Awardees at NOCCPO Community Relations Month
In a separate event held at the Camp Alfredo M Montelibano Sr., Brgy. Estefania, Bacolod City, De Chavez also recognized both outstanding police stations and personnel in the province. The citation was given during the kick-off ceremony for the 29th Police Community Relations Month 2024.

Police Lieutenant Mark Anthony Darroca, chief of Silay Police, along with Polive Major Rhea Sarah Villanueva, deputy chief and Police Corporal German Alolosan, were awarded the prestigious Medalya ng Kadakilaan for their heroic actions as members of the Silay City Police Station (CCPS).

This is inline with the successful buy-bust operation conducted on March 1, 2024, at Purok Ipil-Ipil, Brgy. Mambulac, Silay City, Negros Occidental. The operation resulted in the arrest of a High-Value Individual and the recovery of 157.567 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of Php 1,071,455.60.

They were also recognized for being the top-performing CCPS in the Province-wide Unit Performance Evaluation Rating, achieving a score of 96.66% for the period of February 1-29, 2024.

De Chavez also acknowledged the exceptional performance of the EB Magalona Municipal Police Station as the top-performing Municipal Police Station in the Province-wide Unit Performance Evaluation Rating, with a score of 94.77% for the period of February 1-29, 2024.

The recognitions and awards were presented by Atty. Michelle Benitez Yotoko, Provincial Officer of the National Police Commission VI.
