Neg Occ logs 140 new dengue cases

The province of Negros Occidental recorded 140 new cases of dengue from June 12 to 18, the Department of Health 6 reported.

This brings the total cases to 1,368, an increase of 605%, the DOH said.

It also logged 7 deaths this year.

Dr. Jessica Fama, medical specialist 3 of the Provincial Health Office said the dengue cases in the province are just below the alert level threshold.

In Bacolod, DOH report showed a total 22 new cases from June 12 to 18. Its cases since January 1 to June 18 increased by 153% compared to last year.
