A nationwide job fair initiative has successfully connected over 13,800 jobseekers with employers since its launch in January.

The Trabaho Para sa Bayan: J.O.B.S. (Job Opportunities Building Skills) program is a collaborative effort between leading online job portal Jobstreet by SEEK, SM Supermalls, and the Private Sector Advisory Council (PSAC).

This partnership aims to address the skills gap in the Philippines by generating quality employment opportunities and matching jobseekers with suitable positions. The success of the program is evident in the high number of on-the-spot hires, providing both employers with access to a wider talent pool and jobseekers with a chance to land their dream jobs.

“Jobstreet by SEEK is thrilled with the positive response to the Trabaho Para sa Bayan campaign,” said Dannah Majarocon, Managing Director of Jobstreet by SEEK in the Philippines. “We are committed to empowering Filipinos in their career journeys. Collaborations like this, with SM Supermalls and PSAC, are instrumental in revitalizing the labor market and bolstering the talent pool for key industries.”

Beyond the job fairs, Jobstreet by SEEK offers additional resources to further equip jobseekers for success. The platform’s Career Hub provides valuable guidance on crucial skills like resume writing and interview preparation, increasing jobseekers’ chances of landing their desired positions.

The initiative doesn’t stop at jobseeker support. Jobstreet by SEEK, along with SM Supermalls, will be hosting a nationwide J.O.B.S. Caravan. This caravan aims to share solutions and insights with potential employers, encouraging them to participate in the program.

On-site job fairs are still ongoing in various locations across the country. Upcoming events include SM City Trece Martires (November 15 & 29), SM City North Edsa (November 27), and SM City Lucena (November 28). More locations will be announced soon.
