More ‘Odette’ victims in Bacolod receive assistance

More than P4 Million in financial assistance was distributed by the Deparment of Social Services and Development (DSSD) to Bacolod residents whose houses were damaged after Super Typhoon Odette hit the city in mid-December.

A toal of 1,049 recipients received cash aid from the city government which was personally turned over by Mayor Evelio Leonardia and Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran at the Gonzaga gym and the Bacolod Arts Center in Barangay Taculing.

Of the 1,049 households, 507 beneficiaries are from Barangays 2, 20, 30, 41, Alangilan, Bata, Felisa and Singcang-Airport while 542 recipients are from Barangays Handumanan and Sum-ag.

Also present were Congressional Bet Dan Atayde and Councilors Cindy Rojas, Renecito Novero and Carl Lopez.
