Megaworld Lifestyle Malls, the retail and commercial subsidiary of property giant Megaworld, has revealed its redesigned masterplan for Northill Parade, a retail and commercial development set to rise within the 53-hectare Northill Gateway township along the Bacolod-Silay Airport Access Road.

Northill Parade, spanning 2.4 hectares, introduces a unique free-standing retail concept with a total leasable area of 1.1 hectares. Alongside retail and dining establishments, the remaining space will be dedicated to open areas, parking facilities, and landscaped pathways. This project is a part of the 7.5-hectare mixed-use retail and leisure complex within Megaworld’s Northill Gateway township.

Graham M. Coates, head of Megaworld Lifestyle Malls, expressed excitement about Northill Parade’s introduction, likening it to stopovers found along highways in the United States. He emphasized that besides serving travelers along the Bacolod-Silay Airport Access Road, Northill Parade will provide convenience to residents of Forbes Hill, Fountain Grove, and neighboring villages.

Among the initial tenants securing free-standing restaurant outlets at Northill Parade are five international casual dining brands from The Bistro Group. These include Denny’s, TGI Friday’s, Randy’s Donuts, Texas Roadhouse, and Olive Garden. Notably, Randy’s Donuts and Olive Garden will debut their first branches outside Metro Manila, with Randy’s Donuts featuring a dedicated drive-thru lane.

Coates further elaborated on Northill Parade’s alignment with Northill Gateway’s concept—a township surrounded by residential communities and marked by outdoor leisure areas offering breathtaking views of the Negros mountains and stunning sunsets.

In addition to The Bistro Group’s offerings, Northill Parade will host several other food and retail tenants. Megaworld made its mark in Bacolod in 2021 with the opening of McDonald’s Forbes Hill, the first-ever McDonald’s NXTGen store in Negros Occidental, adjacent to the iconic Bacolod City Welcome Marker. This location is easily accessible from Megaworld’s Forbes Hill residential village and the Fountain Grove community by Megaworld subsidiary Suntrust Properties, Inc.

Looking ahead, Northill Gateway will see the emergence of a fully air-conditioned chapel accommodating up to 250 people, as well as other leisure and institutional components to enhance the vibrant lifestyle in the area.

Northill Parade, anticipated to open next year, represents Megaworld Lifestyle Malls’ latest contribution to Bacolod, known for pioneering the concept of lifestyle malls in the Philippines. The company currently operates 20 Megaworld Lifestyle Malls nationwide, including flagship developments like Eastwood Mall in Quezon City, Uptown Mall and Venice Grand Canal in Taguig City, and Newport Mall in Pasay City.
