Security guards stationed in various shopping malls in Bacolod began to flag parents who are bringing children below 15 years old when entering the mall.
This as the Emergency Operations Center of Bacolod reiterates that children below 15 are required to stay at home.
The EOC reiterated an earlier statement jointly issued by Philippine Pediatric Society and Pediatric Infectious Disease Society of the Philippines were they highlighted the risk of acquiring COVID-19 children.
The group added that children have the least compliance to the basic health protocols and once infected they csn transmit the virus to susceptible individuals. Hence, it is strongly recommended by pediatricians for this age group to remain home to minimize the risk and lower the transmission, the advisory added.
As of December 13, Bacolod has recorded a total 4 new cases, raising the total number of cases to 5,507.
