Motorists are advised to take alternate routes as several major thoroughfares are currently impassable due to flooding, according to an advisory from Mayor Greg Gasataya as of 9:00 AM, November 25.

The heaviest flooding, with an estimated height of 1.5 feet, is rendering several sections of Araneta Street and a key portion of the Magsaysay-Taculing Road unpassable to motorcycles, tricycles, light, and medium vehicles.

Roads Unpassable to Light and Medium Vehicles (Approx. 1.5 ft Flood Height)

  • Triumph-Bangga Tomaro, Araneta St.
  • Bangga Villa Lourdes, Araneta St.
  • CEGASCO, Araneta-Circumferential
  • Bangga LCC – Manville, Araneta St.
  • Magsaysay-Taculing Road

Roads Unpassable to Motorcycles and Tricycles (Approx. 1 ft Flood Height)

A flood height of approximately 1 foot is making several other key roads hazardous for smaller vehicles:

  • GSIS, Araneta St.
  • Lacson St. (from Robinsons Mall to City Mall)
  • Citadines, Lacson St.
  • Circumferential Road (from Bata flyover to Banago)
  • New Government Center, HI Strip, Panasiatic Circumferential Road

Local authorities strongly urge the public to avoid these areas and exercise extreme caution when traversing other flooded streets.
