Magnitude 4.1 earthquake shakes Sipalay

A magnitude 4.1 earthquake shook the city of Sipalay in Negros Occidental, 2 minutes before lunch today, November 2.

In a report from the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology, it said the quake has a depth 8 kilometers with its epicenter located at 09.93N, 122.47E – 018 km N 15° E of Sipalay.

Less than 15 minutes later m, the western part of Sipalay was also hit by a magnitude 2 earthquake.

The first quake was also felt in Iloilo and Bago cities at Intensity 3. Intensity II was recorded in La Carlota City, Negros Occidental.
