The Landbank of the Philippines (LANDBANK) – Sipalay Branch is officially open for business at its new and permanent location after 32 years of serving the community at their previous office. The grand opening took place on May 6, 2024.

Located just outside the Old City Hall in Barangay 2, the new branch boasts a more spacious and convenient layout, allowing them to accommodate a larger number of clients. It also offers ample parking spaces, brand new Automated Teller Machines (ATMs), and a Cash Deposit Machine (CDM) for added convenience.

LANDBANK’s Western Visayas Branches Group Head, Ms. Vivian M. Cañonero, expressed her gratitude to the Sipalay City Government, particularly Mayor Lizares, Vice-Mayor Oscar C. Montilla Jr., and former Mayor Soledad Montilla, for their unwavering support that made the new branch a reality. She also extended her appreciation to the loyal Sipalaynon depositors for their continued patronage.

City Mayor Maria Gina Lizares reciprocated the gratitude, acknowledging LANDBANK as a vital partner in the city’s development. The city government has previously utilized loans from the bank to finance key projects and programs. Mayor Lizares looks forward to the continued growth and positive impact of the Sipalay branch.

Cañonero also announced the expansion of the branch’s services. Sipalaynons can now avail of a wider range of loan products, including salary loans, car loans, and housing loans.

The soft opening ceremony was graced by various dignitaries, including Municipality of Hinoba-an Vice-Mayor Jefre L. Encoy, Sangguniang Panlungsod Member Ulysses Hisona, Secretary to the Sanggunian Florante Rufino, Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Raffy Carnal, Ms. Rora Bernate from the Landbank Visayas Branches Group, LBP Branch Heads in Negros Occidental, other bank representatives, cooperatives, and private depositors.
