The City of Kabankalan has recorded its first COVID-19 death after a 34-year-old patient died in less than 12 hours while being treated in an undisclosed medical facility.
The patient who hails from Brgy. 6 was admitted in a private hospital last October 14 after she manisfested COVID-like symptoms last October 12.
Based on the case timeline posted on Kabankalan’s FB page, the fatality, experienced cough and difficulty of breathing and sought out-patient consultation that same day.
Last October 13 she revisited a medical facility for a follow-up and was advised to undergo a chest X-ray in a government hospital. A day later, she sought for an admission and died.
Her body was immediately cremated as part of the guidelines established by the health department.
