The tourism office of the town of Murcia in Negros Occidental has confirmed that the official Facebook page of Murcia Mayor Gerry Rojas was hacked and could not be accessed by its admin since last week.
In a Facebook post, the town’s tourism office warned the public not to entertain any request for financial assistance or any post/ activity posted on the page, as it is not an official post from the town’s mayor.
According to them measures are presently being undertaken to recover the admin function of the said Facebook page.
It has also made an appeal to Meta for the recovery of the admin rights to the page.
